global results on some nonlinear partial differential equations for direct and inverse problems
Existence results of infinitely many solutions for a class of p(x)-biharmonic problems
The existence of infinitely many weak solutions for a Navier doubly eigenvalue boundary value problem involving the $p(x)$-biharmonic operator is established. In our main result, under an appropriate oscillating behavior of the nonlinearity and suitable assumptions on the variable exponent, a sequence of pairwise distinct solutions is obtained. Furthermore, some applications are pointed out.
متن کاملSTABILITY OF POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO p&2–LAPLACE TYPE EQUATIONS
In this article, we first show the existence of a positive solution to { −Δpu−αΔu = λ(u− f (u)) in Ω, u = 0 on ∂Ω, by the method of lower and upper solutions and then under certain conditions on f , we show the stability of positive solution. متن کاملLaplace and Helmholtz Problems
Consider the Poisson equation −∆u = f in a planar exterior domain of a bounded domain O. Assume that f = 0 in the outside of a disc with sufficiently large diameter. The solution u is assumed to be bounded at infinity. Discretizing the problem, we employ the finite element method (FEM, in short) inside the disc, and the charge simulation method (CSM, in short) outside the disc. A result of math...
متن کاملFarkas-type results for fractional programming problems
Considering a constrained fractional programming problem, within the present paper we present some necessary and sufficient conditions which ensure that the optimal objective value of the considered problem is greater than or equal to a given real constant. The desired results are obtained using the Fenchel-Lagrange duality approach applied to an optimization problem with convex or difference o...
